Mulching & Coupe Creation
| Sometimes areas within a wood become unmanageable and due to the fertile nature of the surrounding soil can soon become overrun with large areas of impassable bramble and briar patches. Sometimes these are due to previous felling regimes that have introduce too much light into the area or where areas have been clear-felled and left too long prior re planting or just left unmanaged for a period of time.|
Mulching enables you to return the area to ground level and enable new planting, but it can also be used to reduce the amount of invasive species such as Alder, Rhododendron and Sycamore before they take hold. Many clients also find that this is a very quick and relatively inexpensive way of creating small woodland coupes or glades within their woods enabling native ground flora to reestablish themselves back into the wood as well as bringing additional benefits to species of vertebrates and invertebrates.
What ever the condition or overgrown nature of your woodland we have the equipment and expertise to return your undermanaged woodland back to a manageable area giving you the ability to see the wood from the trees.
